The highlight of this afternoon's photo tour is Preah Khan, a magnificent and vast 12th-century monastic temple complex. Among photographers familiar with the Angkor park, it is often considered the must-visit temple in Angkor if they could choose only one. The temple showcases exquisite Buddhist and Hindu-inspired carvings throughout its grounds. Unlike Angkor Wat, Preah Khan's sandstone surfaces are adorned with a unique tapestry of algae, lichen, and moss, creating extraordinary textures. Its location within a forest creates a mystical atmosphere, filled with the gentle sounds of nature. Here, you can capture dramatic scenes of massive tree roots reclaiming the crumbling temple ruins. You will also have time to explore the endless corridors and discover hidden corners that most visitors overlook. After Preah Khan, I will offer several options for your sunset shoot - whether you prefer to capture the day's final rays or photograph the golden hour's warm glow on the ancient sandstone.
