TRAVELLING TO CAMBODIA | cambodia entry requirements 2023

On October 3rd 2022,  Cambodia removed the last restriction for  international travellers to enter the country.

Passengers entering Cambodia by land, sea or air do not need to present a health declaration or vaccination card. Entry and exit gates are still equipped with temperature monitoring systems.

We encourage to check with your airline company before travelling to Cambodia which are their health and safety requirements.

Visas  on arrival  (VOA) are  delivered at land crossings and international airports.

? CAMBODIA TRAVEL  | TOURIST VISA  2023

Unless you are holding a passport from one of the ASEAN  country or Seychelles, you will require a tourist visa to travel to Cambodia. You may choose to obtain a Visa on Arrival (VOA) upon arrival at the airports of Siem Reap, Sihanoukville or Phnom. You can also to apply for  your Cambodian visa online.

What are the countries with tourist visa exemptions to enter Cambodia?

Nine countries are currently exempt from a tourist visa to enter the kingdom of Cambodia, only a valid passport is required. Citizens from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam are granted with a stay up to 30 days. Citizens from Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, Seychelles can only stay 14 days.

How long is the evisa valid?

Once you enter Cambodia, you can stay 30 days in the country. Please note that overstay is fined at the rate of USD 10 a day.

What is a VOA?

VOA stands for Visa On Arrival.  It is a visa you can get when you arrive in Cambodia by air or land. You can  either get a tourist visa or an ordinary visa (E-type, business visa).

In 2023,  flights are  available  between the different cities  in Cambodia (Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Siem Reap). International flights to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia are  more frequents although some destinations like Vietnam are still expensive.

✅ 16th October  2023 | Siem Reap a brand new airport: Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI).

✅ 4th October  2022 | Cambodia fully reopened without covid documentation

✅ 11th of July 2022 | Cambodia reopened to non vaccinated and partially vaccinated travelers (rapid test on arrival).

✅ 29th of April 2022 | ✈️ first direct  flight between Kuala Lumpur and Siem Reap in 25 months.

✅ 17th of March 2022 | Cambodia fully reopened to vaccinated travelers (no pre-flight PCR test, no rapid test on arrival).

✅ 17th of December 2021 | ✈️ first direct  flight between Singapore and Siem Reap in 21 months.

✅ 15th of November 2021 | Cambodia reopened to vaccinated travelers without quarantine.

✅ 19th of October 2021 | re-introduction of e-visa (electronic online tourist visa).
